Terms & conditions
These terms govern PortfolioLens, operated by Almareem Technologies Company Ltd, Tanzania. Read them with our Privacy Policy before creating an account.
1. Eligibility and agreement
You must be at least 18, have legal capacity to agree to these terms and provide accurate account information. Creating an account requires an affirmative acceptance of these terms and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy. Keep your contact details current. Do not create or use an account on someone else’s behalf without lawful authority.
2. What PortfolioLens provides
PortfolioLens is an educational investment research and planning tool. It saves the information you enter and calculates allocations, estimated costs and hypothetical scenarios. It is not a bank, broker, custodian or exchange and currently does not hold funds, connect bank accounts, place orders or execute trades. Nothing in the platform constitutes a personalized recommendation to buy, sell or hold an investment. Obtain qualified advice where appropriate to your circumstances.
3. Inputs, calculations and market information
You are responsible for checking your inputs, fees, taxes, constraints and sources. Charts based on your records describe those records, not actual account balances or investment performance. Hypothetical scenarios are conditional calculations, not forecasts or guarantees. Provider prices may be delayed, incomplete, stale or unavailable; unverified values may be withheld. A last trade or closing price is not a promise of an executable price. Verify important decisions against authoritative records and your regulated provider.
4. Your account and security
Protect your password, email inbox and registered devices. Do not share verification codes or credentials. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require additional verification or restrict access to protect accounts. You are responsible for activity you authorize, subject to applicable law; these terms do not make you responsible for losses caused by our own unlawful conduct.
5. Permitted use
Use the service lawfully for your own research and planning. Do not probe or bypass authorization, access other users’ information, harvest personal information, overload the service, bypass request budgets, redistribute raw market feeds, upload malicious content or misrepresent calculated results as verified performance. Do not use the service for unlawful market manipulation, fraud or providing regulated services without the required authorization.
6. Your information and intellectual property
You retain your rights in the information you provide and grant us the limited permission needed to store, process and display it to operate the service for you. We own or license the application’s software, design and content. Company names and logos belong to their respective owners and identify issuers; they do not imply partnership or endorsement. Third-party market data remains subject to its applicable rights and attribution requirements. Your account does not grant rights to resell or bulk redistribute that data.
7. Charges and future financial integrations
The current release has no in-app billing or payment collection. Any future paid feature will disclose its price and applicable terms before you agree to pay. Bank connections, brokerage access or trading would require separate onboarding, permissions, regulated partners where applicable and additional terms. Acceptance of these terms does not authorize a bank connection, transfer or trade.
8. Availability and changes
We may maintain, update, limit or discontinue features and may suspend accounts for security, unlawful use or material breaches. Where reasonably practicable and legally appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to retrieve your information. Third-party outages or quota limits can interrupt market information. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the continued availability of a particular provider.
9. Closing your account
You may stop using PortfolioLens at any time. You can delete financial records in Settings and request account closure through the contact details below. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request. The Privacy Policy explains retention, backups and legal exceptions. Terms concerning accrued rights, intellectual property and lawful dispute resolution continue where relevant after closure.
10. Responsibility and limits
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and third-party information are provided without promises of investment returns, accuracy for every purpose or uninterrupted operation. We do not accept responsibility for investment decisions made solely in reliance on hypothetical outputs or unchecked third-party data. Nothing in these terms excludes duties or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights. These terms do not waive liability for fraud or deliberate misconduct.
11. Law and resolving concerns
Tanzanian law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Disputes may be brought before a competent court or authority under applicable law. This provision does not prevent a complaint to a regulator or remove mandatory rights.
12. Updates and contact
We publish changes with an effective date and give additional notice of material changes where required. If a change requires a new agreement or consent, we will request it. Contact Almareem Technologies Company Ltd at the address below for questions, complaints and account requests.
